One of the greatest actors of Hollywood Leonardo DiCaprio has a lot of historic and brilliant scenes which we as viewers cannot pick and tell. Throughout his career, the Titanic star has been at the center of countless iconic scenes. However, the actor singled out a scene from the film The Departed, which was released 15 years ago, as one of the most unforgettable events of his life.

Billy Costigan, an undercover detective tasked with infiltrating an Irish gang in south Boston, was the actor’s third time working with Martin Scorsese on the crime drama. Scorsese cast Jack Nicholson in the role of gang leader Frank Costello, which resulted in the sequence that DiCaprio cherishes. In the one-on-one scene, Nicholson’s character informs Costigan that he accuses his gang of harbouring a rat.

In one of the interviews leading up to the film’s release, Dicaprio stated that there were several sequences in which he had no idea what was going to happen.
