The Chargesheet: Innocent or Guilty is an upcoming ZEE5 Original web series revolving around the murder of Shiraz Malik, a national table tennis champion. It shall showcase a love story that didn’t have a happy ending. It’s a thriller that is not the traditional whodunnit but a thriller that sources itself from the circumstances, the complexities of relationships and the twists that the Indian judicial system keeps throwing at us.

The web series is nothing like you have already seen. The ethos, sentiments, political situation, the Indian judicial system of the late 1980s will be brought to life in this web series, but a People Vs Oj Simpson would be similar in terms of the chatter around this case. The narrative here is not just the court case or how proceedings took a shocking turn, it’s the bigger picture in question here.

The story of The Chargesheet: Innocent or Guilty feeds on the darker side of the human mind, with the right motivation (even love) coupled with obscene power can lead to events one can’t comprehend. It premieres on 1 January 2020.

Produced by Roshan Kanal and Ashoke Pandit, Daytee Pictures Pvt. Ltd, written by Priyanka Ghatak and Directed by Shashant Shah the series will star Arunoday Singh, Tridha Choudhury, Shiv Pandit, Hrishita Bhatt, Sikander Kher, Ashwini Kalsekar and Zakir Hussain, Kishori Shahane and Shakti Anand in prominent roles.
