Sooryavanshi To Release On Diwali: Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh Share BTS Photo Ft. Them With Ajay Devgn And Rohit Shetty; Actor Duo Is Ecstatic

Just a while back, Bollywood director Rohit Shetty announced the release date of his most-anticipated film Sooryavanshi. Since March 2020, the filmmaker has been waiting for the situation to get back to normal so that the film can see the light of the day, but in theaters. On March 2, 2020, the trailer of Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh Ajay Devgn, and Katrina Kaif, was dropped online. However, a few weeks later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the lockdown in the wake of COVID-19. Following the orders, theatres and cinema halls were banned and the release date of multiple films was pushed. While many decided to take the digital route, it was Rohit Shetty who decided to stick to the theatrical release of Sooryavanshi.

But after waiting for more than 1.5 years for its release, Rohit Shetty has finally announced the final release date of Sooryavanshi. The announcement came soon after Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray stated that the cinema hall and theatres will reopen from October 22. Sharing a photo with the CMO, the Golmaal director said, “This Diwali, Aa rahi hai police.”

Sharing their excitement, leading actors Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh took to their respective social media pages and shared the same news. Akshay Kumar shared a BTS photo from the sets and thanked Maha CMO for the big decision. Alongside the photo, Akki said that many families would be thanking the CMO for allowing the reopening of cinema halls in Maharashtra from Oct 22. He further added in the caption, “Ab kisi ke roke na rukegi – AA RAHI HAI POLICE”. Ranveer Singh, on the other hand, re-posted Akshay Kumar’s post leaving his fans amazed.

For the unversed, Sooryavanshi was earlier slated to release on March 24, 2020, which was further pushed to April 2021. However, the film’s release again got postponed owing to the 2nd wave of Coronavirus. But now we can’t contain the excitement as Sooryavanshi will finally hit the screen on Diwali 2021.
