An official statement from Style Quotient Jewellery Pvt Ltd., the licensee of Being Human Jewellery has clarified that neither Salman Khan nor Alvira Khan knows anything about the case. They also emphasized that the matter is between the complainant and SQJPL.

Recently, Bollywood actor Salman Khan seemed to have gotten into some legal trouble with a local businessman from Chandigarh who accused the actor of fraud. Arun Gupta, a local businessman from Chandigarh claimed that he was pressurized into investing Rs 2 to 3 crore for opening a franchise of Being Human Jewellery. He alleged the company of not keeping their promise of sending him jewellery stock and promoting his business. In his complaint, he named Salman Khan, sister Alvira Khan, CEO of Being Human and a few others. However, now Style Quotient Jewellery Pvt Ltd., the official licensee of Being Human Jewellery has issued a statement claiming that Salman and Alvira have “nothing to do” with the case.

Style Quotient’s official statement

Style Quotient started off by clarifying how they’re associated with Being Human. The statement read, “In Dec 2015, ‘Being Human – The Salman Khan Foundation’ appointed Style Quotient Jewellery Pvt. Limited (SQJPL) as their global licensee for the jewellery vertical. The same was for handling manufacturing & Sales of Jewellery under the Brand Name of Being Human”. Talking about the alleged fraud case it said, “On 3rd August 2018, SQJPL signed an MOU with Modern Jewels (Arun Gupta) to be the first Franchisee of “Being Human Jeweller”.

In fact, Mr Salman Khan is only the owner of the Brand “Being Human” and not even a trustee of the Being Human Foundation,” added SQJPL.
