Rani Rashmoni Star Ditipriya Roy Has Just Learnt A New Talent. Find Out!

Ditipriya Roy is an unstoppable force. Not only does she play the Rani of Janbazaar, the protagonist of the wildly successful Bengali TV serial Rani Rashmoni, a character who is several times her own age, with ease, she is also a Higher Secondary student who juggles an academic career in school along with her acting profession!

Did you know what a fantastic artist Ditipriya is? We had no idea until we saw this magical piece of work, and indeed, she confirms the fact that it is one of the ways in which she is trying to do new things. Developing new skills and exploring different subjects is a wonderful way to lift your spirit and make progress in life, especially at a time when it almost seems like life has come to a total standstill! We admire Ditipriya’s talent and wisdom, and are very inspired by it.

In the artwork that Ditipriya has just made and shared with us, she has painted Ardhanarishwar, who is an avatar of the Lord Shiva. Ardhanarishwar represents the male and female attributes of Shiva and Goddess Parvati as an amalgamation of each of their halves. As the legend goes, when Lord Brahma created all male beings, he ordered them to regenerate, which they were unable to do. Just then, Shiva appeared in front of him in the form of Ardhanarishwar, and Brahma prayed to his female half and was able to continue his process of creation after that. Hasn’t Ditipriya done a spectacular job of portraying the deity?

Ardhanarishwar symbolises the nature of balance brought about by opposite forces, such as male and female energies, and Ditipriya serves as a reminder of how good things can be created amid all manner of negativity.
