Rajnikanth Crosses The 150 Crore Mark With Annaatthe

Though the film had received negative reviews from critics, audience went to the theatres to enjoy the family entertainer, and the result was such that the film in just 21 days of its release, in the state of TN alone, it has earned a whopping amount of 150 crores.

Post Covid, finally it’s a breather for filmmakers and movie goers as theatres have gained occupancy and viewers are enjoying the theatre magic of big-budget films, once again. With a release in over 1000 theatres globally, Rajnikanth’s ‘Annaatthe,’ has been a huge relief for movie buffs. Though the film had received negative reviews from critics, the audience went to the theatres to enjoy the family entertainer, and the result was such that the film in just 21 days of its release, in the state of TN alone, it has earned a whopping amount of 150 crores.
Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan took to Twitter to reveal that Annaatthe has finally crossed Rs 150 crore mark in Tamil NaduHis tweet read, “#Annaatthe TN Box Office CROSSES Rs 150 cr mark. Week 1 – Rs 119.53 cr. Week 2 – Rs 22.52 cr. Week 3 Day 1 – Rs 1.29 cr. Day 2 – Rs 1.47 cr. Day 3 – Rs 1.83 cr. Day 4 – Rs 2.60 cr. Day 5 – Rs 0.46 cr. Day 6 – Rs 0.39 cr. Total – Rs 150.09 cr (sic).”

Annaatthe has collected. Manobala wrote, “#Annaatthe WW Box Office Week 1 – Rs 202.47 cr. Week 2 – Rs 26.32 cr. Week 3 Day 1 – Rs 1.56 cr. Day 2 – Rs 1.70 cr. Day 3 – Rs 2.62 cr. Day 4 – Rs 3.54 cr. Day 5 – Rs 0.57 cr. Day 6 – Rs 0.43 cr. Total – Rs 239.21 cr

Under the direction of Siruthai Siva, with a storyline by Siva, Savari Muthu and Antony Bhagyaraj, the dialogues were arranged and worked upon by Chandran Pachaimuthu. Veri is the cinematographer, while Ruben did the uphill task of Editing. Composer D Imman, has done a terrific job too, as part of the technical team, which made the Rajinikanth and Nayanthara starrer ‘Annaatthe’ a super hit amongst cinemagoers.
Rajnikanth’s undying fans have yet again proved their love for the star and have made the superstar’s 168th film a huge success, which is path-breaking post the Covid 19 complications, of not being able to shoot or release the film earlier as planned.
Annaatthe is still going strong at the Box office and is still running successfully at theatres not only in TN but all across the country.
The only competition is on the release of Simbu’s ‘Maanadu’, which seems like a power-packed film with Silambarasan in the lead. Time will forecast the destiny of both the films, but Rajni’s ‘Annaatthe, has proved that his fans will never let him down, and admire his acting skills.
