What better than a Monday morning to drown your blues away and pick yourself up with some wholesome motivation. Allow Lakshmi Manchu to do it for you.

Yesterday, on June 21, we celebrated World Yoga Day. This day is celebrated to create awareness of the ancient Indian practice and bring people a step closer to a healthier lifestyle. With those spirits still going high and strong, you should take the opportunities that this Monday brings to you and indulge in some yoga, too. Actor, anchor, mother, philanthropist, Lakshmi Manchu finds time in her hectic schedule to do it. What’s your excuse?

Watch her in the reality-adventure show Zee Heroes here:

Lakshmi is the daughter of Tollywood’s legendary actor, Mohan Babu, and she clearly does her bit of carrying his legacy ahead. Amidst the many things, Lakshmi is a huge advocate of living a healthy life. At the age of 42, she spends as much as two hours on working out and indulging in a good exercise session. The multi-faceted lady not only loves performing yoga but also practises weight training, cardio and CrossFit.

There are researches showing that people are more motivated on a Monday morning than on any other day to start something new. That sounds just about right to get you out of the cosy and comfy bed, right? Well, practising yoga also allows you to stop your mind from distracting you. It increases your concentration throughout the day and also makes you calmer and more peaceful. Those are a few traits we could all use during these days.

Watching these workout videos of Lakshmi is a great boost and this is really the right time to lay your yoga mat out and get started without further thought. Of course, you can take it slow. Because doing it for two hours, like the actor here, will only leave you feeling exhausted.

My two hours practice in 23 seconds. Always finding ways to let go of the ego and tune into the divine guidance. Thank you @johnvincentshrader for pushing me in my practice and holding space for me the past 10 days. I am truly blessed to be able to experience the beauty of yoga. What it does to me within is something I could never put in words other than saying it is pure BLISS. I want all of you to find a small asana to practice with your body. After all that is your only connection to earth. Use it, feel it, and embrace it. I love my body for letting me experience such wonders of life.
