The festival of Mahashivratri is being celebrated today, all across the nation. The significance of this festival is known to all and our favourite Marathi stars are no exception. On the eve of this auspicious occasion, many stars were seen sharing best wishes and messages with their fans. While some posted pictures, highlighting the festival’s importance, the others were seen expressing their spiritual thoughts.

The festival is believed to celebrate the wedding of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. And to celebrate the occasion, many actors shared their thoughts with the fans. So, here’s taking a look at how the Marathi stars celebrated Mahashivratri while wishing their fans through social media.

Karbhari Laybhari fame actor Anushka Sarkate took to her Instagram handle to wish her fans in the “Laybhari” style. The actor shared a picture of herself praying in front of the ‘Shiva Linga’ statue. She wrote, “Mahashivratri’s Laybhari (best) Wishes”

Also, actor Kiran Gaikwad who plays Dr. Ajit in Devmanus seems to be a great devotee of Lord Shiva. The actor shared a picture of himself dressed as Shiva and wrote a poetic phrase from the prayers. Within no time, his fans started showering the post with best wishes and appreciated Kiran’s look as Lord Shiva.

Pahile Na Me Tula actor Tanvi Mundle shared a picture of herself on her Instagram story as she wished her fans a Happy Mahashivratri. In the picture, the actor donned an all-traditional attire, clad in a green saree. Also, renowned Marathi actor Priya Bapat shared a picture of the Adiyogi Shiva statue on her Instagram story. For those unaware, the 34-meter tall statue is situated in Tamil Nadu.

Actor Ruchira Jadhav brought her artistic side alive as she sketched a portrait of Lord Shiva. The Mazya Navryachi Bayko actor shared a picture of the portrait on her Instagram handle and fans loved it. Penning down an excerpt from the prayer, the actor also wrote. “Embrace the SHIVA that resides within”

The Julun Yeti Reshimgathi actor Prajakta Mali shared two different proses from the prayer, sharing her experiences on this auspicious day. The actor shared her thoughts with a picture of herself completely immersed within her prayers.

Actor Sukhada Khandkekar shared a charming picture of herself dressed in traditional attire as she shared her thoughts of being “free from inhibitions”. The actor wrote, “When one is fully in the moment.. true to every fraction of it.. free from inhibitions and ‘should be’s… for me, That very neutral state is being with ‘Shiva’ ! #throwback to one of my cherished moments with him, in front of him…This Mahashivratri I pray, you keep finding yours…”
