The fans of Kalyana Vaibhogam aren’t surprised anymore where Nithya does something unthinkable or when Manga finds herself out of possible options for happiness. Yet somehow we are glued to the screens rooting for Manga to fight against all odds and win over the evil Nithya. In the midst of this battle of the twins, let’s not forget the one who is bruised and abused the most – Swaroopa Srinivas, their mother.

Manga may have officially entered the picture as Swaroopa’s daughter and Nithya’s elder twin much later, but the war between them had been waging for much longer. Although a silent spectator for a long time, Swaroopa was keenly observing whatever happened between the twins. Of course, someday it all had to come to use.

One of her daughters does not keep anything within her and speaks her heart out. But the other one distances herself from everyone, every time she is plotting a new evil plan. That’s how this mother of two polar opposite kids understands what they want, need or are up to. It’s all about reading between the lines.

Recently, given the situations between Manga and Nithya, Swaroopa has had the scope to do more than just being a mute spectator. The smartest thing she does is using her experiences and observations from the past and analysing them to find solutions for her present problems.

Purely directed towards Nithya! Swaroopa knows her daughter too well and so, she knows that an interrogation session will bring her no results. That’s why the mother-daughter stick to making satirical jabs at each other. Swaroopa has been so much better at this, right now, than ever before.

No matter how big of a mastermind Nithya is or goes on to be, let’s not forget that Swaroopa is her mother. She will always find a way to have an upper hand. Let’s not forget that no force can defy her.
