Happy Birthday Udit Narayan: His Top 5 Songs That We Surely Have In Our Playlist

Udit Narayan is a renowned vocalist who is well-known for the many songs he has penned and sang for Bollywood. On December 1, 2021, the singer turns 66.  In his more than two-decade-long musical career, the singer has delivered an uncountable amount of hit singles and has amassed an outstanding record.

He has also performed in other languages such as Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Odia, Nepali, Bhojpuri, and Bengali.  Even after his debut in Bollywood playback in 1980, he had to work hard. He started as a folk singer for Nepal Radio, singing songs in Maithili and Nepali. The Government of India awarded the Padma Bhushan to Udit Narayan, an award given to only a few artists. He has almost 15,000 songs on his record.

The song Katti Batti from Sunil Shetty, Pooja Batra, and Sonali Bendre’s gangster movie ‘Bhai’ was sung by Udit Narayan and his son Aditya Narayan. This was one of the father-son duo’s debut tracks.

It was a crime in the 1990s not to sing and dance on Papa kehte hai during school farewells. It was the national anthem! Udit Narayan’s distinct voice mixed so well with Aamir Khan’s mannerisms that we couldn’t distinguish them differently.
