In our day to day life, we are concerned about our family and loved ones so much that we often forget that we as humans have social responsibilities to attend. It takes a lot of guts to stand up against the wrong and do what is needed. Tigers featuring Emraan Hashmi was recently released. The film has got rave reviews from critics across the globe. But wondering whose character was the movie inspired by?
In the film, Hashmi plays the role of a salesman employed by an MNC which produces milk substitute for infants. Later, Ayan, played by the actor, finds out that the product he sells is dangerous for the children and several hundreds of them have already died. After knowing the reality he plans to fight against the system. To those who are unaware, the story is based on a true incident which happened in Pakistan. The character of Ayan is inspired by Syed Amir Raza Hussain. He was a pharmaceutical salesman who joined the MNC in 1994. His role was of a medical representative.

In 1997 he resigned from the job when he saw an infant with chronic diarrhoea and dehydration being rushed to the hospital following which he passed away. But watching a child die in front of him because of a product he had been selling made Hussain re-think of all the possibilities, whose wife was pregnant with their second child at the time. Not only did he resign but he also sent a letter to WHO against the MNC, following which Syed and his family suffered a lot.
