Crystal Hefner responds to comments made against late Hugh Hefner by some of his exes

Crystal Hefner responded to all the ill comments made by late Hugh Hefner’s exes. Crystal, widow of Hefner, called their comments a need for “attention” and that they are only relevant because of late “Playboy” founder Hugh Hefner.

What were the comments?

Hugh Hefner’s exes Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt spoke out about their time in the Playboy Mansion.

Madison, (41), who dated Hefner from 2001 to 2008, candidly spoke about her views on Hefner on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

“I started to feel like I was in love with him… looking back at it, it was a very Stockholm syndrome kind of thing where I felt like I identified with him, he was complimenting me so much, I started, in my mind, started blaming all the other problems on the other women.” Madison said in the podcast.

Crystal responds

Crystal (35), who married Hugh Hefner in 2012, told E!’s Daily Pop on Monday, (September 27). “I think everyone’s entitled to their opinions. I think for some it was a lot harder than for others. For some of them, you know, being there is what got them attention.”

She added : “So, to keep talking about it and talking about it keeps the attention on themselves,” Crystal also claimed. “A lot of the women speaking out negatively wouldn’t be where they were if it wasn’t for Hef.”

Call for Peace

In April 2021, Crystal told Us Weekly that the differences of opinion among Hugh’s exes, regarding their respective experiences with Hugh, should be put to rest.

“Let’s talk about it, let’s stop hating each other and, like, all sit down and just hash it out. That would be interesting,” she said. “Because I have a feeling we will have so much in common and we would all be friends, but because we all hate each other for apparently no reason. I mean, how many people on the planet share this common experience? Not many. So, my hope is for us all to have a red table talk and just see how it goes.”

Who was Hugh Hefner?

Hugh Hefner was the founder and editor-in-chief of Playboy Magazine, a publication with revealing photographs and articles which provoked charges of obscenity. The magazine is still known for its artsy and semi-nude pictures of the female body. Hefner passed away in 2017, aged 91.
