‘Biggest Arrest’ In Drug Haul After Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death As Drug Supplier Regel Mahakala Gets Arrested

After the drug angle surfaced in the case of Bollywood’s late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been actively investigating the case. Recently, the NCB has arrested accused Regel Mahakala after him being underground for a very long time. The accused will be produced before the court today and the hearing for the case that was on a halt will proceed from there. Read further ahead to know more about NCB’s latest arrest.

Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe has been on trial, the NCB has recovered drugs worth crores that were easily being sold in the market. Recently, the NCB raided Millat Nagar in Lokhandwala from where they have recovered 5 kilograms of hash (hashish), small quantities of opioids (afeem), and MDMA (ecstasy), all worth over ₹2.5 crores. They have also arrested the drug supplier who was missing for long, Regel Mahakala. He has been sent to the police custody for two days and will be produced before court today.

The NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede, who is leading this operation has confirmed Regel Mahakala’s arrest but said that they can’t disclose his links with Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty. The arrested drug supplier, Regel Mahakala is accused of supplying drugs to Anuj Keshwani, who further supplied them to others. Many among the others who have brought drugs from Anuj Keshwani are said to be Rhea Chakraborty and late Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely and unfortunate death (June 14, 2020) had left the entire country shook. His unnatural death made way for many cases and probes to begin. Ever since the Sushant Singh Rajput case has revealed the connection of drugs, the NCB has questioned and arrested many of the people linked with the Hindi movie and entertainment industry, and also many drug suppliers. The drug supplier, Regel Mahakala is said to have a couple of very strong contacts and connections from Bollywood celebrities. It is so believed that the arrest of the drug supplier, Regel Mahakala is expected to unravel the entire chain of drug supply that has been taking place in the entertainment industry.
