Bollywood film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, which hit the theatres in March, this year, has now been premiered on Amazon Prime India’s streaming platform. Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar released just before the lockdown was imposed in various parts of the nation due to the COVID-19 second wave. According to various reports, this film had received a decent response from the people who watched it in the theatres at the time of its release. Even after its OTT release, people seem to be responding well, complimenting the story and direction of the film.

The bollywood production house, Yash Raj Films, had previously announced over five films that were planned to release in the theatres this year. The films included Bunty Aur Babli 2, Shamshera, and Prithviraj, amongst others. Bunty Aur Babli 2 had also been announced a few months back and the release date was set in summer 2021, but the release had to be pushed due to the ongoing second wave. This film stars actors like Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji in key roles, amongst others.
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar was also one of the films which had been planned for a theatrical release, starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in key roles. It premiered in March 2021 but could not run for long time since the lockdown was imposed in most parts of the country. This film is now available on Amazon Prime Video and has been receiving promising reviews from fans. There have also been reports that suggest that the other five films announced by YRF previously, will also be released on OTT.
