
AndTV Stars Pay A Tribute In Loving Memory Of The Legendary Actor Irrfan Khan

An alumnus of National School of Drama (NSD) in India, he shared the academy and its experiences with the actors like Rohitashv Gour and Himani Shivpuri, who are seen on &TV daily-soaps. 1. Rohitashv Gour
One of the leads in Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain!, Rohitashv Gour who essays the role of Manmohan Tiwari ji, is also an alumnus of the National School of Drama (NSD) and had studied with Irrfan Khan. Rohitashv shared a post on Instagram saying that he will be going live on Facebook to share stories and memories of the great, and versatile actor and friend. The caption said, “Vishwas nahi hota….”, meaning “I cannot believe.”
2. Himani Shivpuri
With the caption, “In the memory of an amazing, versatile actor. RIP”, Himani Shivpuri of Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shared this video post on Instagram, consisting of scenes from one of the earliest films, that Irrfan Khan and she had worked in. Himani currently plays the role of Katori amma on the &TV daily-soap and is also an alumnus of National School of Drama (NSD), which was Irrfan Khan’s alma mater.
3. Shubhangi Atre
Shubhangi Atre Poorey portrays Angoori bhabi on Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain! These are her words for the loved deceased actor on her Instagram post, “An outstanding performer, great actor #irrfankhan. Left us too soon, this is the most disturbing and sad news, it’s a big loss, you will be missed #restinpeace.” Irrfan Khan has inspired Shubhangi in many ways through his comic roles in movies like Karwaan.
4. Saumya Tandon
Television actor and host who plays Anita bhabi on Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain!, Saumya Tandon’s Instagram post conveyed this message, “Irrfan Khan I have always looked up to you, you created a unique place for yourself in this industry defying all odds. No one can take your place. You make us believe no matter what your surname is/how you started/whatever age you are the only thing you need is talent. RIP.”
5. Yogesh Tripathi
In Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, actor Yogesh Tripathi essays the lead role of Daroga Happu Singh (Inspector). He shares the screen with Himani Shivpuri, who was a dear friend of the late actor, Irrfan Khan. On the day that the news of his demise broke out, Yogesh posted a picture of Irrfan on Instagram, with the caption, “A golden chapter closed. RIP.” Yogesh expressed his grief and condolences through the post.
6. Kamna Pathak
Kamna Pathak essays the funny role of Happu Singh’s wife and mother of nine children, Rajesh Singh aka Rajjo in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. When she learned about the huge loss of Irrfan Khan’s life, she posted a picture of him on Instagram saying, “RIP (Rest In Peace).” We’re sure the late versatile have inspired Kamna Pathak and helped her in comical acting techniques vicariously, as he has inspired many.

Jagannath Nivangune, who essays young Bhim’s father, Ramji Maloji Sakpal in Ek Mahanayak – Dr B. R. Ambedkar, also joined the stars to pay a tribute to Irrfan Khan. He bid farewell to the late actor through an Instagram post by saying, “Alvida.” Jagannath wished to work with Irrfan Khan and has never missed a single film that has done. He addressed Irrfan Khan and conveyed an emotional message to him.
8. Sneha Wagh
Playing the role of Maruti’s mother, Anjani Devi on the mythological drama serial, actress Sneha Wagh stars in Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri. Remembering Irrfan Khan and his versatility, she took to Instagram and expressed her feelings by saying, “Angrezi Medium was the last movie which we saw in a theatre before this lockdown. It’s such an honour to be your fan, sir! Rest In Peace #ripirrfankhan.”
9. Ashish Kadian
Actor Ashish Kadian portrays Indresh Singh in the devotional daily-soap Santoshi Maa Sunayein Vrat Kathayein. On April 30, 2020, he posted a heartfelt message for the deceased veterans Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor, saying “I hope and pray they will be happy and happier wherever they are. You’ll be loved and remembered forever for your larger than life portrayals on and as well as off-screen. Dear Irrfan sir and Rishiji rest in peace.”
