Akshay Kumar To Soon Shoot For Ratsasan Hindi Remake!

In June, it was revealed that Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar will be involved in the Hindi remake of the 2018 hit Tamil film, Ratsasan. This film was critically acclaimed and released in 2018. This investigative thriller starred Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in lead roles. Akshay Kumar is set to play Vishnu Vishal’s role in the Hindi remake along with Rakul Preet Singh.

The original Tamil film was made with an 8 crore budget and earned 75 crores at the box office! The film revolves around an aspiring filmmaker who is forced to become a police officer due to his father’s death and family pressure and his journey as he diligently tries to hunt down a psychopath. This film made a huge impact on Tamil star Vishnu Vishal’s career as it was well-liked by critics and audiences alike and did amazing at the box office too.

The makers of the Hindi remake had previously planned the entire shooting schedule for the film but due to covid-19 things had to be shifted. The Hindi remake will be helmed by Ranjit Tewari and produced by Vashu Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment. According to reports, the remake will be titled ‘Mission Cinderella.’

Now the makers are going to soon resume shoot in the UK and wrap up the film after which the film’s post-production will start. This will be the second time in recent years that Akshay will be seen in a police uniform. His other police film is Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, which has had several delays in its release date. Akshay Kumar is going to be seen in several other projects including Bell Bottom, and Ram Setu in which he is co-starring with Jacqueline Fernandes and Nushrat Bharucha.
