Richa Chadha is all set to play the role of Raw Agent, Ananya, in the upcoming ZEE5’s Original movie, Lahore Confidential. She will be seen playing the role of a strong woman who keeps her mission first. However, in a turn of events, she will fall in love with a Pakistani spy and poet, Rauf, essayed by Arunoday Singh. While were’s all excited to watch this tussle between Raw Agent and Spy, here’s a peek into five such movies and shows and that chronicled similar intriguing stories and left people glued to their screens. Lahore Confidential is all set to release on December 11, 2020.

1. Raazi

Raazi, starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles, revolves around the story of Hidayat (Rajit Kapur), who is great in the eyes of the Pakistanis. With time, he asks his daughter Sehmat (Alia), to marry a Pakistani military official, Iqbal. Sehmat, a Raw Agent, then turns spy and digs out information about threats that were coming in from Pakistan, that involved the safety of her own country.

2. Naam Shabana

Naam Shabana, starring Taapsee Pannu, is a spin-off of 2015’s Baby. In the movie, Pannu plays the role of an undercover agent named Shabana. Helmed by Neeraj Pandey and Shivam Nair, the movie entails the gripping story of troublesome gangsters, who leave no stone unturned in following Shabana’s footsteps. Soon, she decides to join a secret intelligence agency to find out in-depth about the nuisance.

3. Vishwaroopam

Helmed by actor-filmmaker, Kamal Haasan, who also stars in the film, Vishwaroopam follows the story of an undercover Muslim Raw agent, who pretended to be a Hindu Kathak dancer in the US. With his changed identity, he spied over the several terror plots blooming in the US. The movie stars Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah and others. After the success of the movie, the makers released its second instalment in 2018.

5. Naxalbari

Naxalbari, the very recent outing on ZEE5, sees Rajeev Khandelwal playing the role of STF agent, Raghav, who decides to get into any lengths to understand why the Naxals in Gadchiroli have become rebellious. He gets trapped into the vicious plot of Satyadeep Mishra, who leads the group of Naxals. He turns spy and decides to not let Raghhav ruin his plans and hence, Mishra also holds Raghav at a gun-point.
