After a six-year break, Adele returns with the majestic “Easy on Me” single

Say Hello to Adele’s new song! The Grammy winner has released her long-awaited track, “Easy On Me,” from her self-described “divorce” album 30, which will be released on November 19th.

Adele teased the release of “Easy On Me” two weeks ago, giving fans a reason to anticipate. She is seen placing a tape into a car radio and dialing up the volume in the black and white Instagram video.  As she drives down the road, loose papers flutter out the windows and the song’s opening chords start playing.

“Easy On Me” is the first single off her upcoming fourth album, which is titled 30, a reference to her age when she began recording the songs. She’s followed this trend before, dropping 19 in 2008, 21 in 2011, and 25 in 2015.

The now 33-year-old first hinted that a new album was on the way in early October, when social media fans noticed billboards with “30” printed on them in various regions of the world, from Ireland to the United States.

Many fans assumed she would start writing about heartbreak after her breakup from Simon in April 2019. Naturally, they appear to be correct. On her 31st birthday in May of that year, “30 tried me so hard, but I’m owning it and trying my hardest to lean in to it all.” She wrote on her 31st birthday.

She’s currently sending her love to Rich Paul, a sports agent with whom she’s been dating since August. Adele the latest record appears to have been a healing experience for her. She recently revealed on Instagram that writing 30 helped her move on from the pain of her divorce.

During this stressful moment in her life, Adele dubbed 30 her “ride or die” year. It will be released on November 19th. “I’ve learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way,” Adele shared on Instagram.
