1. Taxiwaala

Sometimes all you need is a good laugh. And so, we bring you a curation of the best comedies for you to check out for the days that need to be taken off. Because the old and the wise often say, comedy is the cure to life.

Geetha Govindam may make you cry and smile, but Vijay Deverakonda’s Taxiwaala will surely get you rolling on the floor laughing. A thriller by genre, this film is a perfect combination which will keep you curious and chuckling.

2. Ashta Chamma

Nani and Swathi Reddy’s Ashta Chamma is a one of kind. Although said to be romantic, every scene in the film is funny. The confusion, the craziness and the characters will keep you engaged and laughing throughout with their madness.

3. Brother of Bommali

A complete no-brainer, Allari Naresh and Karthika Nair’s Brother Of Bommali is our personal favourite. It doesn’t matter who you watch this film with, as long as you watch it. Ever wondered what’s a laughter riot? It’s this film.

4. Sudigadu

Allari Naresh’s crime-comedy Sudigadu is more comedy than crime. One man who believes to have supernatural powers sets out to find his lost parents and a most-wanted criminal. The end result is not what you expect and that’s why you must watch this film.

5. Mirpakaya

One undercover cop becomes a college professor to get to the mafia don through his daughter. But on this journey, he falls for one of his students. It’s all too complicated but hilarious and the credit goes to star-comedian Ravi Teja. Mirpakaya also features Richa Gangopadhyay and Deeksha Seth.

6. London Babulu

London Babulu is a pure comedy which stars Swathi Reddy in the lead role along with Rakshith Gowda. How far can one go, just to get a visa to fly abroad — to London to be specific? The limit is showcased hilariously in this film.

7. Achari America Yathra

Vishnu Manchu led Achari America Yathra, also featuring legendary actor Brahmanandam, is a trip you want to take. The plot sounds similar — one boy trying to bring back two broken families and falls in love with the girl — but there’s so much newness to this film that you cannot afford to miss it.

8. Shanakarabharanam

Don’t be confused! This Shanakarabharanam isn’t that one. This is the new one, starring Nikhil Siddharth with a bunch of supremely talented cast. An NRI comes from the streets of New York to the Gangs of Bihar. The race has a simple goal — survival. Watch how that goes in this place that’s popular for ransom and kidnaps.

9. Kandireega

The all-rounded Ram deserves to make his way to this list too. And so, here it is. Ram Pothineni and Hansika Motwani starrer Kandireega remains an entertaining watch even today. Want some romance, drama, action, and a whole lot of comedy? This is your go-to.

Not the day for comedy? Check out some romcoms on ZEE5.
