In Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, it all begins with that one look. The look of losing everything that one has in an instant. What happens when you touch fire? You get burnt. That’s what happens.

Cinematographer P.S.Vinod conveys the tale of power and action in one still, as Raghava (Jr. NTR) picks up a bandana and a weapon before taking another step further towards his unknown enemies.

This frame is the starting point to the chaos that is all set to unravel. With an apt explanation of bombing the bridge with local explosives, we see the bridge breaking into two pieces, leaving the men and cars to crash. It’s chaotic, sure. But isn’t it picturesque too?

Watching this scene, the fan inside us reels in joy to see such a perfectly-captured moment. What happens before that and what happens after that makes little sense to us. But it takes one shot, shot in slow motion, that brings out the awesomeness of an action sequence.

Let’s embrace the fact that action scenes are also choreographed. When done right, they shine through. Like this scene right here. Looks like straight out of a song, doesn’t it?

When we look at this frame, our first reaction may be ‘that’s too over-the-top’. But Telugu cinema has always been larger than life. And whatever is not possible otherwise, has always been portrayed on screen. Over the top, yes! But we’re here for it.

Sometimes, losing everything does not mean you start anew. When jealousy and rage seep into your bones, nothing other than death can kill it. That’s how Jagapathi Babu in the film is. He lost his battle, yet there is a war waging inside him.

In the end, nothing remains, neither your anger and enmity nor your name and face. When Jagapathi Babu is made to realise this fact by Raghava, it’s a sight to see. Confusion mixed with fear, this man has truly been a delight in the film. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
