Kaushik Ganguly is being counted as one of the stalwart directors of Tollywood now. The cerebral director has given us some gripping and thought-provoking movies which have set the cash registers ringing at the box office. The latest superhit movie from Kaushik Ganguly, Jyeshthoputro, stars Prosenjit and Ritwick Chakraborty in the lead roles. Prosenjit plays a superstar who visits his brother, a mentally-challenged sister and the rest of his family post the death of his father. But will the sibling bond remain intact? What makes this intense family drama even more special is the fact that the story was conceived by the late filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh.

Prosenjit, Rituparna Sengupta, Churni Ganguly and Kaushik Ganguly team up in this 2018 suspense drama. Srimoti (played by Rituparna) loses her husband in an accident. Firmly believing that there is foul play behind it, she hires a lawyer, Jiyon Mitra (played by Prosenjit). Things start getting complicated when Srimoti and Jiyon fall for each other.

Rajat Ghosh, a superlative singer, is known as Kishore Kumar Junior, a moniker he earned from the famous artist himself. He gets invited to a government of India programme for which he has to perform with his group at the India-Pakistan border. On the way, they get kidnapped. Will Kishore Kumar Junior be able to save his wife, troupe and himself? Apart from an excellent storyline, and superlative performances by all actors including Prosenjit and Aparajita Auddy, Kishore Kumar’s songs are the high-points of the Kaushik Ganguly directed Kishore Kumar Junior.

The sequel of the superhit film Bishorjon, Bijoya is a 2010 film starring Jaya Ahsan, Abir Chatterjee and Kaushik himself. Padma (played by Jaya), meets her old love Nasir Ali in Kolkata. Will she return to Nasir? Or will she stay back with her husband Ganesh Mondal? Watch Bijoya to find out.
