Mhalsa tells Naradmuni that she is eagerly waiting for Khanderaya. Naradmuni comes to Banu's mansion. He requests Ajamel to bring one thousand 'bilva leaves' from the jungle. Naradmuni suggests Banu to let Khanderaya meet Mhalsa. Banu asks Khanderaya to go back to his palace. Ajamel returns home and meets Banu. Banu tells Ajamel that she has asked Khanderaya to perform 'yadnya' in the palace. Ajamel tells Banu that she should not have allowed Khanderaya to leave her mansion.
