Khanderaya and Mhalsa come to the court. Khanderaya proclaims that he will give justice to the people of Jejuri. He realizes that Maayananda and her husband are coming towards the palace. Khanderaya changes his mind and decides to stop the court. Mhalsa asks Khanderaya as to why he wants the court to be stopped. Khanderaya declines to answer her but continues to sit on his throne.
