A happy Menka promises Rasik that once she tells Suryakant about Lakshmi and Satyakam, the remaining three thorns in her life would also be rid of! Rituals are performed by Saraswati as she gets ready to leave her maternal home. Suryakant advises Saraswati to be an obedient and submissive girl at her in-laws' place, and asks her to forgive him if he had unknowingly hurt her. He asks Bhavishya to take good care of Saraswati. Menka sees a trunk full of gifts meant to be given to Bhavishya's relatives on behalf of the bride's family. Menka sheds crocodile tears as she bids goodbye to Saraswati. Savitri gives a box of vermillion to Saraswati and requests Bhavishya to keep her daughter happy. Later, Menka packs the jewellery and saris meant for Bhavishya's family in another trunk. Rasik enters the room just then and sees the trunk. A delighted Menka tells Rasik to imagine the welcome Saraswati would get at her in-laws' place and the problems she will have to face because of the half-empty trunk!
