A repentant Menka recalls how she had narrated about Kajri's atrocities to the family and apologised to all of them. She had then requested Savitri and Baa to convince Suryakant to allow her to stay back. However, Suryakant had dragged Menka out of the house despite everyone else begging him to let her be given a chance to repent. Later, Savitri had told Baa that Menka was genuinely repentant and had brought her inside the house. Menka is ashamed that the one whom she had taunted all her life was the one who had come to her rescue. Meanwhile, Gauri asks Lakshmi why she wasn't wearing her `mangalsutra'. Karan comes just then and gives it to her. The sisters insist that he put it around Lakshmi's neck. On the other hand, Sonia tells Karan that she has to leave, and asks him for her money. Saraswati phones Lakshmi and informs her about Menka. Meanwhile, Karan gives a bag full of money to Suryakant to keep in the safe and hands over its key. Despite Suryakant being hesitant, Karan insists that he keep the key. Karan warns Lakshmi that Suryakant will be accused of stealing money from the safe, whose duplicate key he had! Lakshmi is shocked. What will she do now?
