Suryakant asks Menka to put on such a charade only in front of her son and daughter-in-law, and orders her out of the house. Menka narrates what had happened with her. Savitri and the others tend to an unconscious Menka but Suryakant is not convinced. Savitri tells Suryakant that Menka has surely endured a lot of injustices but he reminds her that Menka can stoop to any level and asks Baa to throw her out of the house once she regains consciousness. On the other hand, Rasilibai is informed that Menka has escaped and sought refuge in Suryakant's house. Kajri assures Rasilibai that even if others tell Yuvraj about the truth, he will not believe anybody. Meanwhile, `Karvachauth' is being celebrated by the women of the Garodia household who fast for their husband's longevity. Savitri asks Menka also to observe it. Meanwhile, Lakshmi requests Karan to return home soon on the occasion of `Karvachauth'. Rasilibai too urges Kajri to observe a fast to impress Yuvraj. Saraswati phones Lakshmi and asks her to come home with Gauri and Durga. She promises Lakshmi that Karan will come home and asks Suryakant to phone Karan. The moon is sighted later. Menka looks at Suryakant from a distance and breaks her fast. Saraswati compels Karan to feed Lakshmi water so that she can break her fast. Suryakant is proud that he has two sons like Kshitij and Karan. Karan vows that this son will destroy his father's life!
