Harsh tries to apply vermillion forcibly but Vidya fights him and he gets his hand burnt because of a lamp placed nearby. Just then, Sagar appears and asks for water. Once he leaves, Vidya tells Harsh that her Lord will always protect her and she is not afraid of him. Harsh retorts and asks her what will happen when Sagar's family will find out about their past. Vidya replies that she will personally reveal the truth to the family the next morning. Vidya asserts to Harsh that she'll always remain only Sagar's wife and the daughter-in-law of the house, irrespective of whether they believe her or not. Vidya reveals everything about Harsh to Aniket the next morning, little realising that he has not heard her conversation at all because he was busy attending to an important office call! Hema overhears Vidya's confession and scolds her. Hema and Shalu leave the place fearing they will be thrown out of the house. Harsh is happy that Vidya will, any way, be thrown out of the house and will then belong to him. Meanwhile, Sagar is thrilled to receive a letter asking him to audition for the music competition. Sagar asks Vidya to help him practise for 10 days. Vidya wonders whether she will be able to stay at home until then! When Hema is leaving, Vidya tells her that she had spoken the truth to Aniket but he hadn't heard it. Hema is relieved. Uma prays to God thanking Him about things changing for the better after Vidya's arrival. Hema and Vidya witness Uma's prayers and Hema asks Vidya whether she will betray Uma and Sagar by revealing the truth. Vidya is in a dilemma!
