Sindoora taunts Vidya that because she will not be able to sign, she could give her thumb impression on the courier papers. Just then, Gayatri volunteers to accept the courier. Vidya lies to Sagar that she is going to meet a sick friend. Vidya notices Sindoora following her but manages to evade her. She goes to a house and a man welcomes Vidya. Meanwhile, Harsh sleeps like a log the next morning. Seeing his face covered, Mahua assumes it is Chandra and asks her which sari to wear, so a sleepy Harsh holds her hand and asks her to wear blue thinking she is Chandra! An irritated Chandra scolds Mahua for barging into her room every time and being jealous of her. Vidya tells Gayatri that she is feeling guilty about lying to everyone but Gayatri urges her to keep the matter a secret in order to silence Sindoora forever. Meanwhile, Hema's husband, Harish, turns up in Vidya's house. He sees Harsh and says that he has surely seen him somewhere. Harsh later sees his photograph in the newspaper on the 'Wanted' list as the fugitive Rajiv Khanna. Rajiv blames Harsh for forcing him to lead the life of an impostor! On seeing Chandra, Rajiv pretends to feel bad at being suspected by the family, so she assures him that she trusts him completely. The next morning, a washer-man convinces Vidya about the number of clothes given by showing her his book of records. Sindoora taunts to Sagar that even he is more literate than Vidya! Gayatri defends Vidya in front of Sindoora but Sindoora replies that Sagar will feel humiliated in society. Sagar agrees with Sindoora that being illiterate is a crime that nullifies all of Vidya's good qualities. After Sagar leaves, Sindoora triumphantly tells Gayatri that with every passing day, it was getting tough for Sagar to tolerate Vidya. She says that she has a plan that will have Vidya thrown out of the house! Meanwhile, Sindoora phones her man to keep an eye on Vidya. Gayatri overhears her. Gayatri tells Sindoora that she wants to organise a religious ceremony on the occasion of Sagar's birthday, where all of Sagar's wishes will be fulfilled. Sindoora offers to help her. Hema and Harish assure Sindoora that they are always with her. Harish tells her that he has proof that Harsh is an impostor, so Sindoora asks him to get it. Sindoora says to herself that she wants to get rid of Vidya and Sagar and does not care about Harsh. Meanwhile, when Vidya asks Sagar what he wants for his birthday, he replies that he wants a laptop of a certain configuration. Vidya can't understand a word, so Sagar asks her not to make false promises if she cannot abide by it! Sindoora is delighted.
