Vidya tells Bharat that she will be going out, and while she's gone he must make sure that the lamp is not extinguished till the next day. Gayatri witnesses this and asks the priest what Vidya was doing, so he tells her that she was fasting for 48 hours as repentance for obstructing Sindoora's religious ceremony. However, Sindoora warns Gayatri that Vidya always puts on such acts before leaving. On the other hand, Sagar sees the blank cheque with Gayatri's signature and gives it to her. Gayatri is surprised. She goes to tear the cheque, so Vidya begs her not to because Sagar badly needs it and if he didn't repay the money, then he would go to jail. Gayatri asks Vidya who told her that Sagar was in debt, so she replies that Sindoora had. Gayatri assures Vidya that Sagar is no trouble and tells her that she now knows Sindoora is wrong. Gayatri promises to wipe off the distance created by Sindoora between Sagar and her. She informs Vidya about Sindoora's latest ploy to get her out of the house. Gayatri then says that she will punish Sindoora, so Vidya requests her not to because she only wants Sindoora to realise her mistake. Gayatri is impressed and tells Vidya that she's deserving of being Sagar's wife. Gayatri asks her not to let anyone know that they have ganged up. Meanwhile, Sindoora informs Vidya how she had instilled intense hatred against her in Gayatri. However, Sindoora is shocked when Gayatri orders Vidya to go and do her work! Gayatri then says that Vidya refused to leave home because she did not take the money and had given the cheque to Sagar. However, Gayatri assures Sindoora that they will get rid of Vidya very soon. Gayatri then vows to herself to trap Sindoora.
