Sindoora orders Sagar to go to his room and then taunts Vidya that despite trying to prove herself as a dutiful wife, she got what she rightly deserved! Uma praises Vidya for standing by Sagar in front of Sindoora. Meanwhile, Cheenu dials the shopkeepers number in Benares for Vidya but she is told that her mother is not to be seen from many days, and she had not even paid Rs. 40. Vidya is upset. On the other hand, the shopkeeper meets Kaushalya and says that she must repay him by tomorrow. She asks Hema for money but Hema refuses. Kaushalya sees some change fall from Harishs shirt, so Shalu screams that Kaushalya is a thief. Hema scolds Kaushalya, and Kaushalya actually finds some more money later in the shirt. She decides to use it to phone Vidya. Kaushalya phones Vidya and Sagar answers the phone. Sagar tells Kaushalya how Vidya got scolded and even slapped. Vidya snatches the phone and lies that she is fine. However, Sindoora takes the phone and asks Kaushalya to take Vidya away if she is so worried because Vidya is not needed there! Vidya pleads with Sindoora and her sisters never to let her mother know the truth because she cannot bear to see her mother cry. Uma asks Sindoora to understand the feelings of a daughter as she still pined for her mother. Uma suddenly stops short. Sindoora warns her never to get emotional with her again about her mother! Uma then narrates to Vidya how the girls mother had turned mentally unstable and poisoned Sindooras mind with negative opinions about Raghav. That he was responsible for Sindooras mothers condition. Uma says that Raghavs first wife had hung herself to death. On the other hand, Sindoora tells her sisters that loneliness and neglect from their father had got the better of their mother and she had died. She informs them how he had remarried Uma immediately who was a distant cousin of their mother. When Mahua reminds Sindoora that Dr. Sinha always maintained that their mothers illness was her own doing, Sindoora retorts that Dr. Sinha had always supported their father! While Sindoora blames Uma for trapping her father, Uma informs Vidya that Raghav and she had got married for the sake of the children. Uma says that she is seeking revenge from her by using Sagar. Sindoora asserts to her sisters that when Uma was not able to take Sagar away from her, then Vidya certainly will not be able to! Vidya promises Uma that Sagar will return to her someday. Later, Uma prays to God that what Vidya said turns out to true, and Vidya and Sagar come close. Vidya and Sagar collide into each other and are held spellbound in the moment.
