Vidya starts cleaning the room, and Kartik turns up there claiming that he wants to help her. Kartik tries to flirt with her but Cheenu arrives just then. Kartik goes away and when Vidya is cleaning the cupboard, a carton full of Sagars photographs falls. Cheenu sees the photographs and tells Vidya that Sagar had returned from the US and was full of life, ready to take over his fathers business. Sagar had asked Sindoora to rest, after having toiled hard for her house and their fathers business. However, Sagars accident 6 months back had destroyed it all. Meanwhile, Sindoora and her sisters make arrangements for people to come and see Vidya for the first time. Sindoora tells Mahua in front of Uma that Vidya would always remember this ceremony! A worried Uma informs Vidya about it but Vidya assures her that everything will be fine. At the ceremony, the women take a look at the new bride for the first time. Uma gives Vidya jewellery, and she gives Uma a photo frame of Raghav and her. The lecherous Kartik too wants to take a look, so Cheenu asks him to only look at the brides reflection in water! Kartik ogles at Vidya. Mahua, Chandra and Sindoora brag about the expensive gifts they give Vidya. Sindoora asks Vidya about their return gifts. When Vidya obliges, the three sisters taunt Vidya about how cheap her gifts are. One of the women taunts Uma that she had got a shrewd daughter-in-law! Sindoora gives away Vidyas gifts to the maid, as a distressed Vidya looks on.
