Sindoora lies to Aniket that she never met Vidya in Singapore and Sagar was alone in the hospital. Sindoora further says that Vidya has run away the Rs. 2.5 million, and lies that she had paid all the hospital bills. Bharat defends Vidya but Sindoora tells the family that Vidya is out of their lives for good and will never return. Sindoora says that Sagar is already stressed and they cannot afford to add to his woes by going to search for Vidya. On the other hand, Sindoora pacifies Sagar who is devastated at his father's death. She also promises to answer all his questions someday when the time is right. Meanwhile, Vidya is tortured in prison. Back home, Aniket questions Sindoora whether she was not afraid about Sagar remembering that she was responsible for his accident. Sindoora puts on a charade and says that all she could think of was Sagar's well-being. On the other hand, Samir is dejected that Sagar did not recognise him, so Bharat comforts him. The next morning, Aniket informs everyone that he has contacted the consulate to trace Vidya. Sindoora is shocked. When Hema and Shalu come to the breakfast table, Sagar wonders who they are, so Hema introduces herself as Cheenu's mother-in-law and Shalu as Cheenu's wife. During the course of a conversation with Bharat, Sagar feels disorientated and asks Sindoora for the date but she manages to remain evasive. He then snatches the phone from Aniket and is stunned to see the date. He wonders where he was for 2 years! Sindoora informs Sagar that he had spent 2 years in his own house but like a small child.
