Mahuas husband Kartik (Faisal Raza Khan) arrives in India and the couple have a minor tiff. Kartik is an incorrigible womaniser and even flirts with his sister-in-law Chandra. Just then, a stern Sindoora informs them that there was a condolence gathering the next day. Mahua informs Kartik that Sagar had married a village bumpkin. Chandra gives childrens clothes to Sagar brought by Kartik, and he wears them excitedly. Uma feels terrible at the way everyone mocks at Sagar. Cheenu assures her that Vidya will surely come to their house. Meanwhile, Vidya gets ready to leave for Delhi, and a shrewd Hema sends her husband along, with specific instructions. Harish leaves Vidya in the train and says that hell come back soon. However, the trains leaves and Harish triumphantly watches it go. He returns home and lies to Kaushalya that the train had left 5 minutes earlier. Kaushalya is sure that God will protect Vidya. Hema arrives then and asks her to start doing all the chores. Kaushalya at once realises their ploy. Meanwhile, Sindoora frightens Sagar about death and warns him to always listen to her. During the ceremony, the priest asks for Sagars wife to be seated next to Sagar. Everyone is taken aback. On the other hand, Vidya arrives at the railway station in Delhi but the chit that has Sagars address flies away!
