Vidya tells Sagar that because she is his wife, Samir is her child too. Meanwhile, Shalu sees a plate of sweets in Surili's room and starts eating. Surili enters then and Shalu asks her why she is eating when she is supposed to be fasting but Surili locks her in the room. The priest asks for Samir's parents to sit for the ceremony, so Surili stands between Sagar and Vidya. Hema taunts that Surili and Sagar make a perfect match! The family members plead with Sagar to sit for the ceremony but he refuses saying that the child and its mother are stupid! Vidya then begs of Sagar to oblige and promises that she will never ask for anything else again from him. Sagar and Surili sit for the ceremony. On the other hand, Shalu manages to escape from the room and reaches the ceremony just in time. Seeing Shalu, a worried Surili announces that Vidya will sit for the religious ceremony with Sagar because, in reality, Vidya is Samir's mother. When Hema says that Vidya has not kept a fast, Sagar replies that she has. Surili is displeased. Uma is impressed with the apparent change in Surili's behaviour and asks Surili to keep the jewellery that she had given Samir for the ceremony. Sindoora walks in later and snatches the ornaments. Surili warns her that she will not put up with her kind of attitude, so Sindoora reminds her of the test report that could land her in big trouble! Meanwhile, Sagar is furious seeing Samir playing with his teddy bear. He tries snatching it and in the process Samir falls. Sagar scolds Vidya for always supporting the stupid boy Samir.
