Surili forces Samir to go to Uma, his grandmother. She sees Uma interacting affectionately with him and promises that Samir would soon win over Uma. However, Sindoora warns her not to be over-confident. Sindoora threatens Surili about the test report and warns her that it can have her thrown out! Sindoora decides to hide the report in her cupboard but Aniket summons her, so she leaves the cupboard door open. Aniket declares that they will offer all the financial assistance to Surili and Samir but both of them will not stay in the same house. However, Sindoora and Uma suggest that Samir stays with them. On the other hand, Sagar scolds Samir. He demands to know why he can't throw Samir out, so Vidya replies that he is his son. She tells others to keep the child in mind before making any decision. Surili pretends to be upset and leaves. However, Uma stops her and says that Samir belongs here. Surili then accuses the family of separating her from Samir. She further says that Samir will end up staying with his father and stepmother! Vidya declares that even Surili can stay in the house with Samir because a child needs its mother the most. Aniket says that the day Samir mingles well with the family, Surili will have to leave. Sindoora pretends to get upset about Surili staying in the house but Uma pacifies her. Sindoora asks Vidya whether she'll be able to convince Sagar that he'll have to stay with his child now ' a child that is not Vidya's!
