Pushpa overhears Jiji preventing Ajya from leaving the house after the haldi ceremony, a pre-wedding ritual. She then decides to change the deed to the house at the earliest and tries to talk to the boy alone. Shitli and Ajya try to meet each other but are forbidden to do so by their family members. Pushpa then suggests having their haldi ceremony together and tries to Ajya about her condition. After convincing him, she suggests the same to Shitli’s family.
