Chef Ajay Chopra tries to find India’s top 50 dishes with the help of Kitchen Gurus Chef Pankaj Bhadouria, Chef Kunal Kapur, Chef Ripu Daman Handa and his Masala Mantris Suprio Bose, Jasleen Marwah and Sherry Mehta. Aloo Tikkis, Golgappa and Momos become the top three dishes in the snacks category.
For piping hot breakfast, the vote goes to Aloo Puri, Idli-Dosa-Sambar, and Chole Puri. Chef Ajay Chopra makes Agra staple Bedmi Puri, a fried bread stuffed with tempered black gram and served with potato curry, followed by Idli-Dosa-Sambar with coconut chutney and Chole Puri in Rawalpindi style.
Kunal Kapoor, Vicky Ratnani, Jasleen Marwah, Supriyo Bose, Sherry Mehta and others help Chef Ajay choose dishes for the theme of 'Comfort Food'. 'Dal Chawal' comes first while 'Rajma Chawal' and 'Thayir Sadam' come second due to a tie. Later, Chef Ajay blends 'Instant Noodles' and 'Khai Daw'.

The delectable recipe for 'Chicken Ghee Roast' becomes the first dish in the category, 'Kukkad Shukkad'. Chef Ajay shares an anecdote related to it and tells the significance of coconut in India while preparing an appetising 'Kerala Chicken Stew' followed by a luscious and creamy 'Butter Chicken'.
Anda Curry' is chosen as the first dish in the egg category from the long list of egg dishes. The second dish 'Bread Omlette' compels everyone to share their stories related to it. Chef Ajay even prepares 'Anda Ghotala', a Gujarati scrambled egg recipe, when the Desi Deewane unanimously vote for it.
