This Noboborsho, let’s embrace new ideas and new beginnings and evolve with #NotunhoccheBangla.

Noboborsho is the beginning of the new year and for every Bengali, it is the beginning of new thoughts, aspirations, and ideas. With every new year, we should imbibe new qualities and a new mindset which will help in the growth of society. This Noboborsho, ZEE5 celebrates a new Bengal, which is a beautiful blend of traditions and new thoughts. After all, what’s more liberating than embracing the new while staying close to your roots?

This Noboborsho, say yes to beautiful changes with ZEE5:

As a tradition, parents always buy clothes for their children on the occasion of Noboborsho. But how about giving this a pleasant twist? In the Poila Boisakh special promo, we see a son gifting a pair of jeans to his father, who happily accepts the gift, and deep down, must be overwhelmed to be embracing this change.  We then see a young woman touching her mother’s feet and seeking blessing. But what follows after that fills our hearts with joy. We see her gifting her mother a new scooty as they set off for a ride! Is there really a ‘right’ time to spread your wings? We don’t think so. Noboborsho might very well also mean the beginning of a new bond. Don’t miss out on the part where a chef and a woman bond over desserts. Sweet, literally!

Being more accepting and encouraging of new ideas and breaking stereotypes can be the change one can bring in his life. We see a father gifting his son ghungroo for Poila Boisakh and the son is elated as he breaks out in an impromptu dance. What better than channeling the suppressed rhythms, this Noboborsho?  #NotunhoccheBangla, in its truest sense, stands for how the much-needed changes are finally unfolding in all spheres of life, subtly yet powerfully.

As we keenly wait to find out what happens next, we can only hope that their new lives will be filled with hope and positivity.

The Bengali TV actors also embraced #NotunhoccheBangla in their own way and shared their own Noboborsho’s memories. Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay’s Krushal Ahuja shared his memories from childhood and shared that on Poila Boisakh, he used to visit different shops with his father and eat sweets which marked the sweet beginning of his new year. Soumitrisha Kundu from Mithai also wished her fans Shubho Noboborsho. She said that she spends the day shooting for the show, after which she goes out for dinner with her parents and also goes shopping as it is a tradition to wear new clothes on Poila Boishak.
