Farhan Akhtar Lauds Police For Apprehending The ‘Creep’ Who Gave Rape Threats To Anushka Sharma’s Daughter Vamika; Tweets A Gratitude Note

While there are some wonderful supporters and fans of our Bollywood celebrities and their families, there is also a segment of society that is creepy and doesn’t know how to mind their own business. In a recent incident, while India was competing in the T20 World Cup, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s daughter Vamika received rape threats on social media platforms due to the team’s underperformance. This is not the first time we have seen something like this.

On November 10th, the Mumbai cyber crime department discovered the person who made such heinous remarks.
Filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar has expressed his relief at the arrest of the person who threatened an actor’s daughter. After learning that the man had been apprehended by the Mumbai Police, Farhan expressed his gratitude in a tweet. However, he hoped that the police would take similar instant action when it came to the security of female journalists.

Officials from Mumbai’s crime branch’s cyber wing have detained a person from Hyderabad who reportedly threatened the child on Twitter. According to senior Mumbai police officers, the accused person works as a software engineer for a food delivery platform in Hyderabad. He is being transported to Mumbai. If his complicity in the crime is proven, he will be arrested.
