Dia Mirza, an actress, on her birthday revealed that would donate a lakh every day for the next 40 days to help the homes of Van Rakshaks (forest guards) who have died in the present pandemic

Dia Mirza, an actor-producer who has been a vocal advocate for environmental conservation and protection, has a special message for her followers on her 40th birthday, December 9. Rather than having a grand celebration, the actress plans to help the grieving families of the country’s forest guards who have died as a result of the ongoing pandemic. Mirza, a hopeful woman, said she needs everyone’s support to join her, give to the cause, and create a secure destiny for the families of those who lost their lives to safeguard our woods.

Forest guards continued working and monitored the forest on foot during the second wave of the pandemic. She claimed that between March and June this year, the country has lost more than 500 of these environmental heroes to Covid-19, with the majority of them being between the ages of 30 and 50.

Mirza would donate Rs. 40 lakh in support of their families, and she asks for everyone’s cooperation to maximise the effect. She says that, starting on her 40th birthday this year, she would donate a lakh every day for the following 40 days, and she hopes that everyone will contribute to the fullest potential.

Mirza explained that instead of sending her flowers or presents on her birthday, she’d like everyone who wants to aid our Van Rakshaks to donate to the Wildlife Trust of India. The UNEP Goodwill Ambassador and Wildlife Trust of India Ambassador believe that it is everyone’s responsibility to help the forest guards, whom she refers to as “guardians of the wild,” and to respect the efforts in serving nature. According to the actress, the unexpected death of such dedicated people is not only heartbreaking but also a blow to environmental protection. All we can do now is thank them for their service and assist the young families they leave behind.
