Dwayne Johnson confirmed that he would love to portray the villain Black Adam in comic book movie in September 2014 and now the film is scheduled to release in June 2022

The charming Pierce Brosnan with a heart of a gem is all out heaping praises on his co-star from the upcoming comic book movie ‘Black Adam’. Speaking with Collider for the promotion of his recently released film ‘Cinderella’, Pierce Brosnan also spoke about his film Black Adam.

Impressed over the fact how the cast was given creative freedom in terms of experimenting with the characters in order to make them theirs, he particularly praised Dwayne Johnson. Talking further on Johnson’s acting ability, Brosnan called The Rock to be magnificent in his role.

It is always heartening to come across such encounters of great celebrities like Pierce Brosnan being genuine and forthcoming with praising co-stars.

Black Adam is an upcoming superhero film that is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, the film is intended to be a spin-off from the 2019 film Shazam!. It is also the 11th film in the DC Extended Universe. And Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock stars as the Teth-Adam / Black Adam.

Apparently, Johnson had been attached to the development of Shazam! from early on, and by September of 2014, he confirmed that he would love to portray the villain Black Adam. Earlier the film was scheduled to release in December 2021 but got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This delay further resulted in re-writing the script of the film and some additional casting in the film.

Eventually, the filming took place in April across locations like Atlanta in Georgia, and Los Angeles. And later Dwayne Johnson took to his social media announced that the shooting has been completed in July. The film is now scheduled to release in July 2022.

For those of you who don’t know, Black Adam is an antihero from the fictional North African nation Kahndaq who was imprisoned for 5,000 years. In the film, he becomes the archenemy of Shazam and gets to shares his powers.
