Shahid Kapoor is all set to fit in the uniform of the Indian Army. The actor to essay a role of a paratrooper in his upcoming film. Bull will mark the directorial debut of Aditya Nimbalkar

Shahid Kapoor is one of the leading actors in the Bollywood industry. He has played vivid roles in his career till now and the actor is all set to fit in the shoes of an Indian Army officer. He will don an Army uniform in his next film, Bull. The actor will be playing the role of a paratrooper in the film. Shahid Kapoor starrer film will be directed by Aditya Nimbalkar. The film marks the directorial debut of Aditya. He had earlier worked with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj.

Bull is an action film set in the 1980s and it is inspired by events from the life of Brigadier Bulsara. Bhushan Kumar is producing the film with the association partners Amar Butala and Garima Mehta. The story and screenplay of Bull are by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh. The filming of Bull will begin in 2022.

While talking about the film, Shahid Kapoor said to a leading news portal that Bull is a full-blown action film inspired by real events from the life of Brigadier Bulsara. It is a privilege to him to play a paratrooper who leads his boys through a historic and selfless mission that has now become iconic for its precision and bravado. The opportunity to play a paratrooper is exhilarating and truly an honour for Shahid Kapoor.

Producer Bhushan Kumar said that he is happy to collaborate with Shahid Kapoor again after the fantastic performance of Kabir Singh at the box office. This film also marks the beginning of his association with Amar Butala and Garima Mehta and we hope great cinema emerges from our hard work.

Speaking about the film, Bull is based on the life of Brigadier Farukh Bulsara, who led Operation Cactus in 1988 in the Maldives. The Indian Armed Forces helped Maldivian forces to take back control of the country after a coup attempt was made by a group of Maldivians led by businessman Abdullah Luthufi and assisted by armed mercenaries of a Tamil secessionist organisation from Sri Lanka, the People’s Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE).
