Ritesh Deshmukh And His Sons Wear Outfits Made Out Of His Mother’s Old Saree For Diwali 2020

As we all are adapting to the new normal amid the global pandemic, we have also changed our ways of celebrating the festivals. This year, most of us did not go to play Garba on Navartri. Although the fear of a global pandemic is still there, it seems like the joy of our prominent festival Diwali remained the same, albeit with less grandeur. Most of us wore new clothes, ate loads of sweets and met a few of our dear ones; obviously while maintaining social distancing protocols. We all tried to celebrate this auspicious day in a unique way to keep up our enthusiasm during these hard times. And, it seems like Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh also found a unique way for this year’s celebration.

Interestingly, on November 14, Riteish Deshmukh took to his social media handle and shared a video, featuring him along with his kids, Riaan and Rahyl. The video opens with Riteish’s mother holding the saree, waving it and covering the whole screen. Later, Riteish and his two munchkins are seen posing together folded hands and clad in the light-blue kurta made from the same saree. On the other hand, the video also has “Happy Diwali” playing in the background. Riteish shared the video and wrote, “Maa ki purani saree, baccho ke liye Diwali ke naye kapde (Mother’s old saree, new kids for the kids) . Many popular celebrities took to the comments section of Riteish’s post and extended Diwali wishes while praising their outfits. Amruta Khanvillakr, Ankit Tiwari, and Deepshikha Deshpande, among many others, were the among the first ones to comment. So far the video has managed to garner more than a million likes on the social media platform.

Coming to the professional front, the 41-year-old actor is currently hosting “Ladies Vs Gentlemen”, along with his actor-wide Genelia D’Souza. The show was launched on 18th November. He was last seen in Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Baaghi 3. He was seen opposite Manikarnika actor Ankita Lokhande in the action-thriller.
