Actor Arjun Rampal is all set to feature in a bunch of content-heavy films in the year 2021 and 2022. He has lately been working on the film Dhaakad, which has been in the headlines ever since Kangana Ranaut released the first look through her controversial tweet. According to various reports, Arjun Rampal recently signed another film which has been titled The Rapist. The film will focus on atrocities faced by women especially when they are a victim of sexual harassment. This drama film will feature Konkona Sen Sharma as the female protagonist while the direction will be pulled off by her mother, Aparna Sen. The Rapist is currently in the pre-production stage and the shooting is expected to take off in the next few months.

Actor Arjun Rampal is one of the most celebrated actors of the country, who has proven his calibre and made a place for himself in the film industry. He is loved and remembered for his work in films like Inkaar, Om Shanti Om, and Daddy amongst others. According to the video attached above, the actor will soon be seen in a drama film which will speak about sexual harassment and how the women are affected by it. This film will star Konkona Sen Sharma opposite Arjun Rampal, which forms a power-packed cast line within itself. The two actors have been seen together in the film Meridian Lines, which worked well with the audiences. Both the actors are critically acclaimed and have set the bar high with their previous performances.

The film, The Rapist, will be directed by Konkona’s mother, Aparna Sen, who has worked on various Bengali films in the past. In a recent interaction, she revealed that the film will focus on the woman’s perspective and what they go through when such instances unfold. She also mentioned that it will stress the current laws and why women hold back from reporting the cases in spite of strong laws in the judicial system. The film is expected to go on the floors in March 2021.
