The makers of ZEE5’s upcoming Original show, Naxalbari, recently unveiled the gripping trailer and it looks to be a sure-shot intriguing watch! Starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Aamir Ali, Satyadeep Mishra, Tina Datta, Sreejita Dey, and others in prominent roles, Naxalbari will entail the gripping story of how Rajeev and Satyadeep will exchange blows as the team of FICA walks in with a huge mining plant in the quaint area of Gadchiroli. However, this move does not go down well with the Naxals of the area and their exasperation crosses every boundary, leading to the heaviest wave of war, animosity and much more. As the video begins, we see Rajeev, an STF agent, who sets upon a mission to understand what the Naxals, led by Satyadeep Mishra, are up to. As he witnesses several clues concocted by the Naxals, he gets into its depth to understand what’s bothering them. In a turn of events, he realises that the Maoist groups are roaring anger as an affluent company FICA decides to build a huge mining plant in their territory. While he fulfils his duties, he seemingly drowns in the dark. He starts getting dreadful dreams. What petrifies him the most is that he sees his parents hanging dead in a dream! That’s when Rajeev is left flummoxed! It will be interesting to see if he will take a back seat or if he will fight to flush out the wrong happening in his own village, Gadchiroli. The trailer also hints at a special connection between Rajeev and Tina Datta’s characters. Tina is one of the people at FICA.

The synopsis to ZEE5’s Original show reads, “It explores Naxalism and its impact on the people fighting it. Starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Tina Datta, Sreejita Dey, and Satyadeep Mishra, the series revolves around an STF agent who is on a secret mission to uncover the truth.” Talking about the series, in an interview, Rajeev Khandelwal mentioned that shooting Naxalbari during the pandemic was not at all easy and that there was no access to any luxury that the actors are usually used to as they were shooting in a jungle in monsoon. Fans have poured in a lof love for the trailer and the show is all set to release on ZEE5 from November 28, 2020.
