Esha Deol celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi with family and reveals how the pandemic has changed festivals forever

Ganesh Chaturthi has brought a lot of happiness, love and family time to all of us as we immerse ourselves in the festival and commemorate it to the fullest. Even for our B-Town actress Esha Deol, the festival has brought a lot of blessings and prosperity. The actress welcomes the idol of Lord Ganesha in her house for 10 days. In a recent interview with a leading publication, the actress revealed how festivals have changed forever for all of us after the pandemic hit us and shared her fondest memories of the Ganesh Utsav.

 

 

Actress Esha Deol shared how right from childhood they welcome the idol of Ganpati Bappa at home for 10 days every year. The decorations of Ganpti Bappa are theme based and keep getting better every year. Home cooked modaks and the puran polis are made. Now, they welcome eco-friendly made idols by keeping the safety of the environment in mind and immerse the idol in the house in a big bucket.

The actress mentioned how they perform the Ganesha aarti twice in the morning and evening. Both times, a new sweet dish is made. She also told hown her daughters Radhya and Miraya love singing and performing the Sukh Karta, Dukh Harta aarti of Ganpati Bappa. The actress is thankful for the fact that even her daughters enjoy the same things as she did while growing up and she loves the whole environment in her house during Ganesh festival.

Esha Deol shared how the pandemic has changed festivals for all of us. Especially in a country like India, where festivals are galore ranging from Janmashtami to Ganesh Utsav to Durga puja, everything is celebrated with so much enthusiasm and the pandemic has put a brake on it all. The actress mentioned how this year she celebrated the Ganesh Utsav by keeping things as minimal as possible. Lastly, Esha Deol took us on a trip down memory lane and shared how she used to celebrate Ganesh Utsav during her childhood. The actres shared how she used to perform in the Pune Ganesh Festival along with her mother and visit various pandals too.

On the professional front, Esha Deol was last seen in Ek Duaa, a film that was released in July 2021 and directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee.
