Richa Chadha And Ali Fazal Reunite To Shoot The Teaser For Their Production Venture ‘Girls Will Be Girls’

In the last few years, many Bollywood stars have come forward to extend their support to independent film projects. And why not? The last decade has seen a surge in Indian art-driven films which are being celebrated at prestigious film festivals. Similarly, to promote such projects, actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal came up with their production house ‘Pushing Buttons’. And the duo has already begun their first venture with the film ‘Girls Will Be Girls’.

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are quite excited about their first production project. Recently, the couple reached Dehradun and shot the teaser of ‘Girls Will Be Girls’. They posed for a selfie together while updating the fans about their shoot schedule. Richa shared a picture of a clapper board on her Instagram handle. The actor also used the hashtag ‘RiAli’ highlighting the collaboration with her beau Ali Fazal.

Reportedly, the short teaser of ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ is to be submitted at a script lab in August. Though the makers have kept all the details of this project under wraps, the film has already made it big in various international competitions. To be precise, Girls Will Be Girls was the only Indian script invited to the prestigious Berlinale Script Station (BSS) 2021. For those unaware, the BSS shortlists 10 projects every year, all across the globe.

Also, the film has made it into the Jerusalem Film Festival and will be officially presented in August this year. Helmed by Shuchi Talati, Girls Will Be Girls is an Indo-French co-production. Wherein Claire Chassagne of Dolce Vita Films has joined in as the co-producer of the film.

Talking more about the film, it is set at a boarding school in the small town of the Himalayas. While the story challenges the taboos about sexuality, it also essays the sweet relationship between a mother-daughter duo.
