Pavitra Rishta 2.0 is all set for a release this September 15 on your favourite entertainment OTT Zee5.

After much anticipation, Pavitra Rishta 2.0 is finally coming to the screens on Zee5. Breaking this news to her fans, Ankita Lokhande – who played the lead protagonist Archana in the earlier Pavitra Rishta – took to Instagram posting a trailer of the show.

“#PavitraRishta | trailer Pyaar aur Parivaar ke beech mein Archana aur manav kisse chunenge? Find out in #PavitraRishta on #ZEE5 premiering 15th September. #ItsNeverTooLate @shaheernsheikh @lokhandeankita @poojabhamrrah @piyush_ranade_official @ektarkapoor @mehranandita @ritz2101 @asheemavardaan @bcaunty @hegdeg @onstagetalents @mourjo @nikitadhond @zee5 @altbalaji @ZEE5MENA @ZEE5_EUROPE,” she captioned the post.

Season two of the show will take off on the love story of Archana and Manav – a character that was essayed by Sushant Singh Rajput for two years in the first season – that aired from June 1, 2009. After Sushant left this romantic family drama in search of a career in Bollywood, Hiten Tejwani from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu fame filled in for the rest of season one.

This time giving season two the must-view factor is Shaheer Sheikh, whose on-screen chemistry with Ankita as Manav comes as a pleasant surprise for fans. If Pavitra Rishta season one established Sushanth and Ankita as household names, fans can hope for a similar bonding with Archana and Shaheer as a new jodi. And unlike season one, which ran for 1321 episodes up to October 25, 2014, Pavitra Rishta two will be an 8-part web series.

Season two strives to answer the question if Manav, a garage mechanic, who loved Archana, a homely and hardworking girl, will reunite? Although they get married, this happiness is short-lived and they head for a divorce.

Pavitra Rishta incidentally is the remake of Thirumathi Selvam, a Tamil soap opera. It has won four Indian Telly Awards, two Producers Guild Film awards and two Indian Television Academy awards.
