This is the story of lesser landed Bachan Singh Jatt, who gets married with a schedule caste Jai Kaur, against the wishes of his family, caste and community . His younger brother, Bhanga suffered because of this decision. His four sons remained unmarried due to the same decision. Jai Kaur was worried about the marriage of her sons. Her brother-in-law Bhanga influenced by Chandu Chuggal and seperated. Jai Kaur died due to this pain. Bhanga killed by his Nephew Nari. His other three brothers remained unmarried.
