Saransh and Maitri's Engagement
Nandini and Maitri are childhood friends. Maitri prepares for her engagement with Ashish's brother Saransh, who goes to consume drugs and the police arrive there. Meanwhile, everyone waits for him.

Saransh escapes the police and arrives at the engagement. He gets engaged to Maitree, who finds his behaviour a little strange. Later, Nandini, Ashish, Maitree and their family watch the news on TV.

Nandini and Saransh's Condition Deteriorates
Maitree tells the family about the accident. Nandini gives birth to a son but later slips into a coma. The doctor tells Maitree and Sona about Saransh's state. After a while, his state worsens.

The Doctor Hands Over Nandini's Child to Maitree
The doctor agrees to hand over the child to Maitree. Maitree goes in front of Nandini and hides that she is a widow. The noise disturbs Sona's sleep. Vasundhara gets Saransh's postmortem report.
Sona Ousts Maitri from the House
Maitree's red attire angers Sona. Nandini's child reminds Sona of Saransh. Sona then takes the child and ousts Maitree from the house. However, Sona and the family struggle to look after the child.
Ashish Sees Saransh's Post-mortem Report
Maitree takes care of the child and Sona stops her from leaving. Sona tells her later that she would not be needed after the last rites. Vasundhara shows Saransh's postmortem report to Ashish.
Vasundhara Reveals Saransh's Reality to Maitree
Ashish scolds the hospital in-charge and calls the postmortem report fake. Vasundhara calls up Maitree to tell her about Saransh's drug addiction and turn her against Ashish. Maitree's state worsens.
